3 Months

Wowza! I can't believe it's been 3 months since we first met you, Noah, face to face! In some ways time has crawled by, but in others, it's gone by WAY too fast! It's been so amazing to watch you grow and learn new things almost daily. Here are some of things that have happened in this past month:

*You have learned to smile and laugh a little. It makes our hearts melt and we look forward to your bright little face each day! You especially smile when Daddy talks to you. You love his voice and when he calls you his "Little Man."

*You're mohawk is standing strong! You're hair is crazy and we don't know what to do with it. You're going completely bald on the sides but you've still got a ton of hair on top and in the back. You truly have a natural mohawk. Somedays I'm tempted to shave it all off. It's just so funny!

*Sometimes you'll cry in your crib for a while. Your Dad will go in there and as soon as you see him, you smile. It's like you're saying, "Just kidding, sucker!"
*You got your first cold this month. It broke our hearts to hear you all congested. It's frustrating that we can't make it better for you. You do a really good job of staying calm when I put those nasty saline drops in your nose.
*You make it very easy for us to have a life outside of the house. Daddy and I can take you anywhere and you're always the perfect boy. Thank you for being such an easy baby!

*You discovered the TV. I put in Baby Einstein's video, "Baby Noah" and you immediately became addicted! You smiled and giggled the entire time you watched it.

*You're "talking" to us so much now. We love to hear your stories of "goos" and "gaaaaas."
*When you cry, sometimes it sounds like you're saying "Mom." It makes me anxious to hear the first time you will really say Mom and mean it.

*You learned how to grab at your toys this past month. You love to lay on your mat and swat at the toys hanging from it! I think you could do it all day long and be perfectly content.

*The biggest thing you've done this month that has been so helpful to your Dad and I, is sleeping through the night! WOO HOO! You've been sleeping a record 9 hours and we couldn't be more thankful!

*Dad and I got to have an official night out by ourselves. Aunt Meanie, Uncle Adrian and cousin Hadley watched you. They said you were a good boy. We hope they'll want to hang out with you some more. Hadley is pretty curious about you and we hope that y'all will be buddies one day.

*You got your first set of professional pictures taken. You didn't want to smile for anything. The photographer did all sorts of tricks to get you to smile, but you weren't having it. We got a couple of smiles, but for the most part, you stayed straight faced.

*Your Dad and I decided that your personality is pretty chill and laid back for most part. Because of the expressions you make, you sometimes remind us of Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. You always look bored or grumpy. But when you decide that you want to smile, you light up the room!

*Everyone says how good you are. And for the most part, you are! But, you still get pretty angry when you're VERY hungry! You've got some pretty strong pipes on you!
*You outgrew your 0 - 3 month clothes somwhere in the middle of the 2nd month. You're now wearing 3 - 6month clothes and most of those are getting a little big snug. You're going to be a big boy and we love it! We love to kiss those chubby cheeks of yours. You can keep growing, just don't grow up too fast!

*You discovered your hands this past month. You love to suck on them when you're hungry or sleepy. You rarely take a pacifier. One of my other favorite things about you discovering your hands is that you hold them like you're praying. It's very sweet to watch.

We just love you so much, Noah. Our hearts grow bigger and bigger each day for you. We can't wait to see what you're going to do next. Happy 3 months son!

Love,
Momma
